A serial entrepreneur from the time he could sell lemonade and wash cars, Howard’s business career spans over 50 years. A college grad (1964) with an MBA (2003), Howard is a “hands-on,” “get-the-job-done,” semi-retired CEO.

Howard provided his expertise to his former company’s executives until it was recently sold.

Today he has taken a select group of business owners under his tutelage, guiding and supporting them through the current and extraordinary business challenges.

 
 

Consulting Services for Entrepreneurs and Small Businesses.

 

It can a lonely world if you own a small business and don’t have a trusted sounding board to bounce ideas off or run questions by. We can be that sounding board, or, if you will, your Board of Advisors.

We’re a small network of seasoned and savvy businesspeople—some still running companies, some semi-retired—who wish to give back by offering our counsel to entrepreneurs and small businesses in an affordable way. We choose to work only with entrepreneurial CEOs for whom we are confident our counsel can truly make a significant difference.

We serve as a fresh set of eyes as well as a voice of reason. We ask tough questions and help you come up with smart answers. Answers that your competitors aren’t likely to think of.

You might be interested to know that we require no formal consulting contract; as far as we’re concerned, any client who decides we’re not providing adequate value shouldn’t have to give us notice before moving on. That might seem unusually generous, but that’s the way each of us always preferred to work with consultants when we were on the other side of the table. And, frankly, we’re not too worried that many clients will feel a desire to take advantage of how we conduct our business.

If you choose to consider engaging our services, we’ll conduct a Preliminary Assessment.  Our initial step will be to spend time with you so we can understand your industry, your place in it, your goals, and your strategic vision for achieving those goals. We’ll also analyze any reports, documents and literature you might elect to share with us. On this basis, we’ll develop a presentation that begins with an evaluation of your strategic vision and a discussion of what might and might not be working. We’ll also discuss our preliminary assessment of your business potential, tell you what we think might be needed to achieve your vision, and possibly recommend an enhanced vision. If we believe we can meaningfully contribute to the achievement of that vision, we’ll tell you. And if we don’t believe we can be of help, we’ll tell you that as well.

Our fee for this Preliminary Assessment is $500.  If you’re pleased with what we have to say and want to consider hiring us for a formal project, we’ll develop a document detailing our proposed deliverables and estimate the timing and cost.
